SmartTest™ Brings New Customer Reporting Features

Adds value to customer billing with support documentation of testing and servicing validation

SmartTest allows technicians real-time access to monitor and control devices for viewing and troubleshooting via smartphone or any web-enabled device. With recently expanded logging and reporting features, dealers can now provide details of device, door and zone status in intrusion and access control solutions and the work performed. Information such as access door activations and battery and network status, as well as test end and start times, provides valuable measurements to the end-user. Reports are available to the customer in the Connect ONE interface and can be downloaded in pdf format for printing or storage.

When dealers show the customer the results of testing, servicing or any other work performed on intrusion and access control with SmartTest reports, they add value to their services,” said Mike Simon, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Connected Technologies. “SmartTest helps dealers differentiate and elevate their business with reporting that helps the customer keep a secure operation with critical recordkeeping from tested connected devices.

With SmartTest, as zones/access doors are tested, a “Tested” icon appears next to the item for easy reference that the activation has been received and logged. The customer can print the form for verification and documentation of regulatory, insurance or other compliance requirements.

Webinar: Assa Abloy Aperio Integration with Bosch Intrusion Panels using Connect ONE

Monday, March 22, 2021 at 11am to 12pm (EDT)

Please Join us for a look at how Bosch Intrusion panels are uniquely integrated with Assa Abloy Aperio Wireless Access Control and Connect ONE Cloud Hosted Services to help you make more money and simplify installations.

We will show you how a complete wireless access control integration will help make your projects more profitable and increase security while maintaining simplicity.

Event Video Playback Options

New event video playback options exist to start the playback either 10, 30, or 60 seconds prior to the event timestamp. This allows for even more capability to see what transpired prior to the event.

Microsoft Teams Integration

Utilizing the Connect ONE UserAPI event server push method you can now integrate with Mircrosoft Teams for mass notification to personnel. The integration uses the Teams incoming webhook configuration to a designated Teams channel. Any system event from the connected devices and/or management events, such as lockdown, can be delivered to Teams and notified to everyone subscribed to the channel.

Usability Improvements

New options to show desired amount of results per page have been added, your choice is saved for the duration of the login session so it doesn't have to be re-selected each view. This allows for more items to be seen without having to switch between pages.

Also, button styling has been revamped for consistent icons and colors which help direct your attention to the appropriate action at a glance.

Tip: Use Aperio Access Control with Bosch Intrusion

More Secure & Simplified Permission Control via Connect ONE

Pairing Aperio wireless access control and the Bosch Intrusion platform has several advantages:

1) It is more secure, hardware readers on the non-secure side of the door, i.e. outside of the intrusion protection, may be open to tampering. For instance, a wiegand based interface may be exposed to hacking attempts, a power short could defeat keypad bus circuits and/or overload the panel, and Ethernet based readers provide an easy method to patch into the network. The fully encrypted wireless technology readers remove every one of these vulnerabilities.

2) The permissions for access are separated from alarm areas and doors, so you no longer need to program additional areas just to specify permission by door. Also, all scheduling for access times, days, holidays are configurable within Connect ONE including door unlock schedules as well. Now your customer has complete convenience and control.

3) More capability with over 200 access doors, 1000 permission profiles, 250 time schedules, 50 holidays, and 90,000 credentials with only one control panel!

4) Lower Installation Costs!
