Safe Passage
Safe Passage provides one-time or periodic self-approval workflows for health screenings, training certifications, legal waivers, and hazard acknowledgments. If a user has not completed a required approval and attempts site access, a violation event is generated and managers are notified. All completed forms are stored with the user account for compliance documentation.
Administrators create custom templates specifying re-approval intervals, required checkpoints, protected areas, custom messages, and terms. Flexible expiration options support specific schedules — such as daily or weekday resets — in addition to standard time intervals. Users assigned to templates receive an email link to complete the approval process and can be assigned to multiple templates simultaneously.
Checkpoint requirements tie approval to a designated entry point with an additional condition such as a temperature scan. Users remain in a pending state until checkpoint access is confirmed. Accessing an unauthorized door generates an Access Violation event with notifications via email, text, or push.
Protected area restrictions limit templates to specific zones within a facility — users can freely access other areas, but entering a protected area without approval triggers a violation event and associated notifications.
Upon completing the form, users see their approval status immediately and receive an email with a PDF copy. Forms are stored in the cloud for archival access. When a re-approval interval expires, users automatically receive instructions to complete the process again.
The user's mobile badge is dynamically updated based upon their safe passage approval status, approved (green border), expired (orange border), declined (red border labeled "Safe Passage DECLINED"), and when approved but pending checkpoint access (blue border labeled "Safe Passage CHECKPOINT REQUIRED.")
